Five-Drop Peyote

I wove this five-drop peyote choker with three-ply polyester thread so the finished piece would drape like fabric.  The choker can be worn as a rectangle bib in front in the middle  or folded over (as shown above) to create a bow which can be worn in front or over to one side.  Two different colors of Number 11 Delicas were used to create the choker shown above.  Another way of weaving this design is to start with one shade and gradually change shades to move to a totally different color at the other side.  This design was created by my Japanese teacher, Yoshiko Kameishi.

Loomed Black and Silver Bracelet

I wove this black and silver bracelet on a small Japanese loom.  In order to get the middle part platted, the left half of the warp threads had to be loosened and platted and moved to the right side of the original right warps.  The loosened warps had to be re-attached to the loom and the bracelet completed.  Matte black Delicas and several shades of silver Delicas were used to create the bracelet.  This pattern was designed by my Japanese teacher, Yoshiko Kameishi.

Loomed Bracelet

I wove this bracelet in gold with black, silver, and red medallions between the open weave sections.  The open weave is created by weaving a one column, skipping a column, and weaving a second column--across the width of the bracelet.  I have also woven this bracelet with solid gold panels instead of the open weave panels. I have also woven this bracelet using silver instead of gold.  The original pattern was created by my Japanese teacher, Yoshiko Kameishi.

Five-Piece Loomed Necklace with Fringe

I wove this striking necklace in five small pieces--the center pendant being the largest.  After all five pieces were completed on the loom, stringing was used to create the fringe and to connect the five pieces into the necklace.  My Japanese teacher, Yoshiko Kameishi, created this design.  She wove and gave me one of this design in matte pale green, but I used her directions to weave this one.
