Loomed Egyptian-Style Pendant

I don’t know why I call this “Egyptian-Style” because I got the idea from a broach design in a Japanese beadweaving book:  Beadweaving Elegance by Takako Sako, p. 122.  I used shiny black, red, and gold Aiko Toho beads to weave this pendant.  For the fringe I used 1¼  inch shiny black bugle beads, ending with gold Aikos. When I first looked at the finished product, I thought it looked Egyptian.

Geometric Shapes Loomed Pendant

This narrow loomed pendant with a 5½ (including fringe) drop was woven with a variety of size 11 seed beads to accent a variety of traditional geometric shapes.  The pendant is shown on a gold colored, metal choker but can be detached and worn on other necklaces.  The geometric design was inspired by a bracelet designed by Sharon Lester in the April 2005 issue of Bead and Button (p. 75).

Apache Leaf Necklace

This delicate 19 inch off-loom necklace was inspired by Horace R. Goodhue’s book,  Indian Bead-Weaving Patterns,  p.35.  I used Aiko Toho beads (TB-612, Blue-Grey Metallic Matte and TB-577, Gold Galvanized) to weave this Apache Leaf Necklace.  This Apache Leaf  Necklace is complemented with a decorative sterling silver clasp.

Embellished Square Stitch Bracelet

Loomed bracelet with negative space and embellished with Fire Polished Beads

Five pieces woven on the loom and then strung together.
